For this Portland project we matched details from the custom cabinetry (owner-supplied from Cook & Cook Cabinetry), creating an island with structural columns. We built new windows from antique sashes and installed reclaimed wide-plank pine flooring. We built the new bay-window addition over an existing deck, and fitted out a new mudroom with site-built cabinetry.  Designed by Whitten Architects. Photographs by James R. Salomon.
