Kolbert Building has long been building with energy efficiency and other environmental factors in mind.  We continually refine our approach to new and existing homes, both by education and research and by long-term monitoring of our own projects.

We're proud to have built three homes that meet the highest levels of the US Green Building Council's LEED for  Homes program.  LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) looks at a building's energy and resource consumption, the long-term health of the occupants, impact on the community, and other issues; it requires third-party verification of multiple factors.
