Portland Renovation

Originally a 2-unit building turned single family home, this Portland renovation started with a major overhaul of the second floor layout. The new layout accommodates three bedrooms, bathroom with original clawfoot tub, laundry area and a large primary suite. Project beginnings involved deconstructing a three story chimney, a private staircase entry to the second floor, interior walls, and plaster and lead removals.

With the new interior framing complete, custom profile knives from Williams & Hussey Machine Co. allowed us to match new trim throughout to the original door and window casings. Existing wood floors on the first floor were sanded and refinished along with new red oak flooring upstairs. A new mudroom, built-in bar for entertaining, and a butcher block island on the first floor blend modern and traditional styles together giving the entire home a renovation to enjoy for years to come.
